Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Architecture, University of Niš, Serbia. Engaged also at the Faculty of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy in Banja Luka, Republic of Srpska. Educated at Universities of Niš and Belgrade. Holds Doctor of Technical Science degree in Civil Engineering. Scientific area: Fluid Mechanic, Hydraulics, and Hydrology. Major field of research: Hydrology. Pioneered application of GIS and Remote Sensing in Urban Drainage at the beginning of 1990s within TEMPUS project research team at Aston University, Birmingham, England and University of Belgrade, Serbia. Participated in several national research projects related to climate change and extreme hydrological situations (floods and droughts). Published numerous research and conference papers. Member of the Association of Hydrologists in Serbia, Scientific committee of the National Committee of the International Hydrologic Programme (IHP) since 2011, IAHS member. Individual consultant for hydrology in regional and national World Bank and European Commission financed projects. Main professional interests: Standardization of Flood Flow Assessment in Serbia, and Introduction of Water Sensitive Urban Design type approach in Serbian urban planning and engineering practice.
