Hello! Vienna Calling!
Vienna is a clean, green and safe place to be, and a melting pot of different cultures and people from all over the world living peacefully with each other. You will enjoy finding your rhythm in Vienna and you will feel at ease as you discover its numerous facets. Modern Vienna is the cultural and political heart of Austria and a world-class city with a soft spot for finer things. The internationally acclaimed ranking by Mercer's overall quality of life survey evaluates 250 cities worldwide. Vienna has held 1st place for many years. And Vienna's nightlife? No, it doesn't stop after the opera, theatre or concerts. It goes on in bars, discos and many pubs.
Vienna is definitely a great place to be a student! With a number of state, private universities, and many other academic institutions, the city is by far the largest student hub in the German speaking region, accommodating approx. 150,000 students.
In Vienna, tradition is not only about exhibitions in museums but it is a pulsing part of everyday life. In many ways, the Habsburg Empire, which became history less than 100 years ago, is still alive, setting the tone and style of its magnificent capital. Vienna offers a wide range of programs for social events.
Wherever you go to, there is lots of tasty food to be found in Vienna. Vienna’s eateries – ranging from the typical Viennese “Beisl” (tavern) to the luxurious gourmet temple – offer the entire spectrum of regional and international delights to satisfy all tastes, including many vegetarian and vegan options. Many places make it a point to cook with regional and primarily organic ingredients. You should not leave Vienna without tasting “Apfelstrudel” or sipping some delicious “Kaiserspirtzer” (white wine, soda, elderberry syrup & fresh mint). Coffee houses are an integral part of everyday life. They are places to contemplate, retreat with a daily newspaper or just chat with friends. Especially the 4th district, where INNES is located, concentrates a large number of cheap, tasty and trendy eateries.
Simply turn on the tap in Vienna and enjoy mountain spring water. Its water flows from the mountain springs in the Styrian/Lower Austrian Alps, reaching the Austrian capital city 36 hours later without pumps and under the strictest regulations. It's just one of the many reasons why Vienna is such a wonderful place to stay or live.
