Tatyana Semko

Trained in Anglo-American Studies and German Studies, Tatyana has been teaching languages (German, English and Russian) with great passion for 20 years. Ever since middle school she knew that languages would be her path in life, because she has always been fascinated by “how the quality of one's thinking changes with every language” and “how much enthusiasm a language can trigger”. Her teaching style is inspired by Rudolf Steiner’s Waldorf pedagogy. Students love her because she knows how to combine focused learning with the activation of imagination and bodily senses, frequently simulating real-live communicative events in the classroom. While teaching she prioritizes the “creation of a safe space, in which learners can relax and therefore learn effectively and joyfully”. In her free time she likes to read about language learning and neurobiology or cook delicious vegan meals.
