Georg Gerry studied music and Educational Science for teaching at secondary schools as well as holds an MA in Linguistic Studies and Comparative Linguistic and Literature Science.
He is currently working as a German Teacher for diverse language institutes and NGOs in Vienna and as a writer (books, articles).
Georg Gerry gained experiences in teaching music classes and German courses from A1 to C2 level at a number of institutions and public schools (including as a support teacher) in Austria and Germany (Munich, Hamburg, Berlin).
As a licensed telc (The European Language Certificates) and ÖSD examiner (Österreichisches Sprachdiplom) for German as a Foreign Language he is working in Austria and abroad. He is also a member of the Austrian Association for German as a Foreign/Second Language (ÖDaF) .
His interests in the field of language training involve exam preparation (ÖSD, telc, Goethe) communicative interactions, group dynamics, grammar teaching in a playful and motivating way, open learning according to Frank Harris‘ words: „Every new language is like a window widening a new perspective to the world and to a view of life“.
