I grew up in a small village in Lower Austria, where I only used my German Dialect. At the age of 25 I decided to study German language and moved to Vienna. That was the moment when I began speaking standard German and my beginning of teaching my 'new' language. As I'm very interested in reading and in learning different languages, it soon became very clear that I wanted to do something with languages for a living. I passed the teacher's class for German as a foreign language at the Goethe Institute in Munich, did the ÖSD certificate for the levels A1 - C1 and have been teaching German for more than 10 years now. At the moment I'm doing my masters in German as a Foreign and Second language. What I enjoy most about teaching is definitely the progress my students make, particularly when they recognize their improvement.
